A big flock of chimney swifts, probably 75-100 birds at a drive-by glance, was flying around the old armory (and cascading down into its chimney) in downtown Shreve, southern Wayne County, around 6 p.m. Friday. The chimney there also gets lots of use in the fall. It's at the 3-way stop next the drive- thru beer store where route 226 takes a sharp turn, about a quarter mile southeast of where they hold the Shreve Migration Sensation. ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
