In view of the release this year of Greenberg's "A Feathered River
Across the Sky," an excellent examination of the sad career of the
Passenger Pigeon, here are some snippets of newspaper accounts from
various spots in Ohio in the old days, found by the prodigious
researcher James Ducey. The Ohio spots include Cincinnati, Wilmington,
Urbana, Bellefontaine, Chardon, Cleveland, Canton, Columbus, St.
Clairsville, Ashtabula, West Union, Delaware, and Piqua.
