Amazing birds along there last night and this morning. On Butternut Ridge, between West Ridge Rd. and Oberlin Rd. (along the back side of the landfill), I saw 7 American Kestrel last night on my drive home (around 7:15 to 7:30 PM). They were on the wires, and electric poles. There may have been a few more... it looked like about 4 in a tree but I couldn't see them well enough while driving by. This morning, on that same stretch, I saw one Kestrel, two Bald Eagles on the top of the really tall tree at the top of the hill right across from the landfill, and a huge flock of gulls flying over/around the landfill. I haven't seen that many gulls out there since over the winter when they were around that area in huge numbers. Happy Birding!
