I think it's a second or third cycle Lesser Black-backed Gull. The yellow eye rules out California, and pinkish legs do occur in young birds of this species. Combined with the mantle color and size comparisons, I don't see anything that would rule out LBBG. Not a bad way to spend the last day of August, debating gull IDs! Must be Ohio!
