Hello all,
The continuing Clay-colored Sparrow was still present at the Erie street cemetery today as of around 10:00 AM. It was mixing with a flock of about 20 White-throated Sparrows, 10 White-crowned Sparrows, and 5 Chipping Sparrows. The bird was mostly hanging around the middle of the cemetery, hugging the wall. It was foraging on the ground, but would occasionally fly up into a tree, no more than 10 ft off the ground. At some times, it actually flew over the wall, but always came back. It seemed to be very tame, flying up to the ground within 10-15 ft of the observer. Also present were a large number of flickers, a Swainson's Thrush, numerous Common Yellowthroats, Dark-eyed Junco's, Lincoln's Sparrows, and 1 Swamp Sparrow.

Good birding,
Gautam Apte
