Hi Folks,
This is the final reminder that the deadline to register early for the Ohio Avian Research Conference is this Friday, October 10th by midnight. After that the price of registration goes up and there is no meal option.
You can get conference details and a link to register from here: http://tuckercasey.wix.com/aacri-birds#!oarc2014/cd8o
Our keynote presenter is Dr. Bernadetter Plair a retire research scientist from the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden. Her talk is titled "Watching a Wild Dream
take Flight and Keeping it Soaring High" and is an inspirational example of successful conservation efforts to restore an extirpated bird species, and the challenges to maintain the populations in the face of continuing threats.
The conference is Saturday, October 18th at Denison University in Granville, Ohio. It is planned so that you can attend and return home all within the same day; no need for additional and expensive lodging, or taking up a whole weekend. However fall in Licking County is absolutely gorgeous and there are a lot of great places to visit to bird and check out the colors of fall foliage if you do want to make a weekend of it.
I look forward to seeing everyone on the 18th.
Casey Tucker
