Got home in time to get the Pelican. Plus an extra treat of a Lesser Black-backed Gull. The Gull was near the Stewart Street Bridge with about a trillion Ring-billed Gulls...okay maybe 50...but it did blend in real well. Only thing that made it pop out from the other gulls was it's wings. The Pelican was easier to spot. and was farther up the river Near the SR 35 bridge across the street from the hospital...but I spotted it from the Stewart Street Bridge...I originally thought it was a swan. :-D I also had a murder of Crows further up Rt 68 North of Springfield.
