Arrived between 3:00 to 3:30 pm. The shrike was still present and hunting
from wires near the deserted house and manure pile. It was still present
when I left at 4:30 to 4:45 pm. Other birders present were Leslie Sours,
Brad from Cincinnati and Mr. Yoder and son from local area (Adams Co.?) and
another Columbus birder. Hope my spelling of names is correct. A
beautiful and quite rare bird in Ohio.

If you go and do not use GPS, ignore the apparent abandoned house on the
left soon after entering the gravel portion of Malone with local power
lines crossing the road. Keep going until you pass through a long left
turn on Malone and pass a narrow township road to the right in the vicinity
of passing under the high tension transmission lines supported by high
steel towers. The abandoned house will be on the left soon after the curve
to the left and the high tension wires over Malone (gravel portion).
Thanks to Ned Keller for reporting this great bird to Ohio Birds and
CincinnatBirds and for providing directions.
Jay
