Hi All! I searched from about 7:15 a.m. this morning to around 10:30 a.m. with no luck of re-locating the Snowy Owl. It's a pretty big area to search. There are a number of large warehouse/production buildings (former Longaberger buildings) adjacent to the south of 16 and the on-ramp on which the bird could be hanging out (similar to the Snowy Owl that was hiding on the roofs of Walmart & Home Depot last year). Unfortunately, I couldn't see any good vantage points to check these buildings. Others may have better luck. There were several other birders in the area who were also searching, and as best as I could see no one else had any luck. There was a fairly large Red-tailed Hawk frequenting the Old Riley Road/16 ramp area, so it may have driven the owl off for the time being. There were several ponds on the property which held quite a few Canada Geese, a handful of Mallards, and 2 or 3 Pintails (I saw at least two males). It might be worth checking again later this afternoon, closer to 4:00 or 4:30 when the bird was originally found. Thanks again to Brad Perkins for sharing this sighting! Good luck!
