This afternoon, Pat McCarthy and I were out looking for snow buntings and we found a flock of about 60 blackbirds feeding in a close group along the edge of a side road. When taking off when a car came by, they would all fly in unison as a group. The only time, in the darker light this afternoon, that we actually could get a close look, I could see a brown bird with a lot of rufus on its head and some on the back/wings. I thought the eye was dark, but again the light wasn't all that good. They had to be either Rusty's or Brewer's. Is one bird migrating now and not the other? Can anyone help? ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
