I have seen a drop in the number of sparrows at my house in Oberlin (Lorain County). Usually I see many American Tree Sparrows, the occasional Song Sparrow and now and then a handful of White Throated Sparrows. This year, I've had six American Tree Sparrows - last weekend when it was snowing - at my feeders and no Song or White Throated. Only a couple of Juncos have been around and I usually see a larger number than that. That being said, this is the first winter I've noticed a drop. Numbers the past few winters seemed 'normal'.
