Yesterday PM there was a female Northern Flicker sitting on a fence near the feeders.

A female Pileated Woodpecker comes regularly to the suet feeder. The male is seen less frequently but is around. There has been a pair nesting in the area for years now, often using a tree in or near the Cricket Holler Scout Camp.

Carolina wren pair come in for mealworms and roost in a sheltered area on our back porch in a decorative wreath. One is singing each AM now, alternating song with another Carolina wren who hangs around farther up the street. I’m assuming they are setting territories for spring, as “our” pair usually nests somewhere on our property.
