Most of the waterfowl seem to have passed through this area, but early landbird migrants seemed in decent numbers, including Red-shouldered Hawk - 1 calling along the Alum Creek bikepath Turkey Vultures - small numbers everywhere E.Phoebe - 1 was calling west of Heron Pond near the bikepath bridge Tree Swallows - small numbers were jousting around nestboxes in several spots Red-br.Nuthatches - singles were at the pine groves at Turtle Pond and along the Alum Creek bikepath Brown Creeper - 1 was singing along the Bluebell Trail at the Confluence area E.Towhee - 1 was west of Heron Pond near the bikepath bridge Tree Sparrows - still a few lingering around the edges of the big field east of the Confluence area Fox Sparrows - 4 were scattered along the scrubby edge where the Blacklick Creek bikepath crosses the powerline right-of-way Juncos - singing birds were at several different areas Blackbirds - Redwings, grackles, and cowbirds were widespread ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
