After more input from much more advanced, professional birders and from the wildlife assoc. This bird is a Turkey Vulture. I'm sorry for all the fuss. I really appreciated all the info and detailed information in helping identifying this bird and other similar ones. I typically see Turkey Vultures in our area but roosting not soaring so probably part of the confusion when it looked all black and huge as it soared. Funny but I ended up seeing 3 soaring today in the area(not at my house like the latter). 😄 By the way forgot to mention my boys were so excited yesterday when they saw an adult bald eagle soar over their school playground. My son said"I saw his white head and feathers Mom"! 😀 I love birding! Rachel S.
