Andrew's post is right on with regard to the Red-throated Loons. I watched them from the same location on the west shore of Hoover Reservoir in the early afternoon.
There were a pair of Long-tailed Ducks viewable from the Baldridge Boat Launch, close to the far shore.
At Delaware lake, the two Surf Scoters, a male and a hen, are still present. I viewed them from a pull off close to the Panhandle-Leonardsburg Road intersection on the east side. They were less than 50 yards from shore and were actively displaying. Overall there was a nice diversity of waterfowl at Delaware Lake and the wetland along the Leanardsburg Road levee.
