The Northern Shrike is still present at Killdeer Plains Wildlife Area. I observed it on CH-71 just east of TH-108. I first located the shrike at 12:30 pm and again at 3:30 pm. It was at the edge of the hedge row on the north side of CH-71 and alternately going to he shrubs on the south side.   Also of note was a flock of 457 (+ or - a few) Tundra Swans at central art of Pond 27. Also on Pond 27 were 10 Bald Eagles, 2 adults and 8 juveniles.   Many species and high numbers of waterfowl on the open areas of water at the wetland off TH-108, Pond 3 and the Upland Reservoir. I will organize my notes and try to get a posting timely.   Final item, also lots of waterfowl along LaRue-Prospect Road at Big Island Wildlife Area.   Charlie Bombaci
