Hi, On our survey hike this morning the highlights were White-winged Crossbills, heard but not seen in Hemlocks. We were listening to Pine Siskins and I thought I heard the WWXBs. I asked my friend Frank Buck to play their song and after he did so they responded. Very fun. Also Louisiana Waterthrush, was found in a tributary of Stebbin's Run. They are usually here on or about April 1 and the snow did not deter them this year. These birds were found in a permit only area. Approximate location is: 41 deg 36' N, 81 deg 16' W Haans ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
