Just received word from Chuck S. that the Ruff that is in Trumbull County is currently present this morning at 8:20 AM 4/28. I did not see this bird posted on here yesterday so here is the information on it as well. The Trumbull County Ruff seen briefly last week was relocated yesterday morning (4/27) by Larry Richardson in Grand River Wildlife Area. It is a male transitioning to alternate plumage. The location is the large pond located at the dead end of Hyde Oakfield Rd running west off SR 45, north of SR 88. Park in the small lot then follow the gravel road back a few hundred yards to the large pond on the right. It was just drawn down in the last week and currently has over a hundred long legged waders. Good luck to those who go. It is great shorebird habitat there, plenty for the birds to forage on!
