Hey, this post reminds me...in the early spring, a couple of reports of Yellow-crowned Night Herons at Lawrence Woods floated across my wire from reputable birders. I was unable to confirm the sightings so I didn't post anything. However, seeing that they are still in the area/state, I would encourage others to check areas that might be favorable to YCNHs for them...we might find some new nest sites.
