I spent some time at the wetlands along Panhandle road this morning 6/8/15. I found an out of season trio of diver ducks made up of Drake Canvasback, Redhead, and Ring-necked duck. While I was looking at them through my scope a group of 3 Sandhill cranes flew in from the East then turned North. While trying to get into better position for some documentation shots of the divers I came across a pair of Common moorhen in the back of the wetland near the dike. I also spent some time looking for the Bell's vireo but was unsuccessful.

Good birding,
Robert Batterson
