This is a great little area surrounded by huge agricultural fields. I only had an hour to visit during mid-day so my list of 20 bird species is modest with nothing unexpected. However, I did see, for the first time, a Giant Swallowtail butterfly at the south end of the property at the edge of the conifers. This is a spectacular butterfly (no camera - darn!) and I wanted to alert anyone heading there to watch for it. You can learn more at http://entnemdept.ufl.edu/creatures/citrus/giantswallowtail.htm.
