At Ladue Reservoir this evening, I found a ruddy turnstone on the sandpit again. There has been one there for several days. Interestingly, it wasn’t the same bird. The first one seen there was in breeding plumage. This one looked to be an adult bird in nonbreeding plumage. Otherwise, a small assortment of peeps, one Greater Yellowlegs and the usual killdeer.
