Folks might enjoy reading an article { http://www.theguardian.com/environment/2015/sep/26/birdwatching-mega-month-september-acadian-flycatcher ] describing the frenzy occasioned by an Acadian flycatcher found in England recently; the article on twitching available on the foot of the piece is worth reading as well [ http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2013/dec/31/twitching-british-birdwatching-wild-side ]. American birders are less likely to relish the pix of the bird than the bird's-eyes' view of the Brits lining up to photograph it! Among other things, I was most impressed with the careful distance all the twitchers maintained, despite their intensity and desperate longing to delight their eyes with this drab little Empidonax. Would we behave so well? Bill Whan Cols ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
