It appears that we had a major fallout of migrating birds due to the cold front moving through. The types of warbler species isn't unusal, but the overall number of birds is impressive. There are too many birds in our yard to count. I tried going to the boardwalk at Magee Marsh, but it's closed due to Duck hunting. I'm sure there are more species there. Below are some of the species I've seen in the past 30 minutes. BT Green - some in breeding plumage Yellow-rumps - everywhere Tennessee Redstart Palm Blackpoll Yellow-bellied Sapsucker - first of the season Golden-crown Kinglet - first of the season Ruby-crown Kinglet Brown Creeper -- Kim and Dave Myles Oak Harbor Ottawa County ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
