> One last reminder about upcoming speaker in Geauga County
>
> You are invited to come and hear Kimberly Kaufman, the remarkable director of the Black Swamp Bird Observatory on Sunday Sept 20 at at Burton Century Village in Geuaga County. She will be speaking on “Birds and People: A Powerful Combination - Why Birds Captivate Us and Why Natural Areas are Essential”
>
> Kim is appearing as part of the series of Conservation Conversations sponsored by Protect Geauga Parks, a non profit organization dedicated to protecting the natural areas of Geauga County Parks which are under serious attack. Geauga County hosts a number of areas recognized by Audubon as Important Birding Areas and these areas are currently threatened by development due to actions in the past year by the Probate Judge and newly formed Park Commission. Birding habitat in the county is at risk. Educating the public in the importance of conservation is crucial and we are pleased to have Kim as our speaker.
> The program will be at 1:30 at the Bond Building, 14653 E. Park St., Burton at historic Century Village. There is no cost.
>
> Consider attending this program and doing some birding in Geauga County either before or after the event! (good opportunity to check out LaDue or any of the Geauga Parks!
>
> If you would like additional information, please contact me.
