Late this morning, a Palm Warbler landed about five feet from me while I
was trimming trees in my yard, It seemed to have been attracted by the
scolding Chickadees that were flitting about in the branches above me. It
stayed for several minutes, keeping a close eye on me, and then flew away.

An Eastern Meadowlark was calling from the highest perch in a tree along
the fence line just before dusk this evening. Its song was a welcome
"interruption" to a quiet, relaxing evening by the camp fire.
