There were about the same number of waterfowl, but a lot fewer gulls today.
There was a good movement of pintail, scaup and cormorants.  What was
interesting was that about half the pintail I saw were with the cormorant
flocks.  They were also at the head of the flock.  Of note with waterfowl
were 4 surf and 1 black scoter.  They were with scaup flocks.



Of note with gulls was an adult Thayer's gull.  The gull flew around and
landed briefly on the water.  It was with a half dozen herring gulls.  This
was one of my earliest dates for this species.
