I walked from Boston Trailhead to Averill Pond yesterday which is up the hill toward Brandywine Falls. There was a tree sparrow by the pond near the Stanford House. I saw my first brown creeper of the fall in the woods up the hill. Earlier in the day I had stopped by Brookside Road Marsh. I saw yellow-rumps, a palm warbler and a white-crowned sparrow. I looked at the link in the recent Snowy Owl alert post by Andy Sewell. I also looked at the ABA Ontario Bird News webpage. A saw whet owl was reported in southeast Ontario. The owls are coming! ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
