There is a snowy owl on the east outer breakwall at Ashtabula Harbor. The bird was toward the west end of the breakwall and is on the common tern nesting structure. It has been walking around and at times disappears from view. The only reason I even noticed the bird at first was a merlin diving at it. FYI, the overlook west of the harbor is closed so you have to look from Lakeshore Park.

At Walnut Beach on the west side of the harbor I had a purple sandpiper fly east along the shoreline there. Lake levels are low today so there is a lot of exposed algae covered rocks.

Conneaut had nothing of note.
