Hoover Dam spillway

hooded mergansers--2-3 males
American wigeons--6-7 males
common goldeneye--1 female
bufflehead--males and females
Northern pintail-1 male
gadwalls--quite a few in the shallow water beyond the main spillway
mallards--numerous in both main spillway and in the shallow water beyond
black ducks-fairly numerous in the shallow water
ring-billed gulls--numerous
herring gulls--at least 2 sitting on rocks in the shallow water
Bonaparte's gull-- this one really stood out flying amidst the ring-bills
great blue heron--1

We also visited 3 points on Alum Creek (dam spillway, New Galena boat
launch, and Cheshire Rd boat launch) but all we saw were Canada geese
except for 7-8 female hooded mergansers at Cheshire Rd. and some pigeons
at the dam.
