Migration is slowly starting to dribble through here. This morning, I stopped at Watermark Lake and the nearby Marble Cliff Scioto bikepath, and had an Eastern Phoebe along the river by the bikepath. At Watermaek Lake, there was a small flock of diving ducks that included 18 Redheads and 2 Ring-necks, as well as scattered Hooded Mergansers. And this afternoon at Park of Roses there was a Fox Sparrow, along with blooming witch-hazels and lots of snowdrops & crocuses. Is winter finally relenting? ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
