It is best seen from the dike on the south side of the water and is mixed in with a vast quantity of other waterfowl (American coots, Northern shovelers, scaup, ring-necked ducks, gadwall, American wigeons, redheads, at least one bufflehead, a couple of trumpeter swans and perhaps other species.
