I stopped by this MetroPark wedged between north Columbus and Westerville, hoping for some early neotropical migrants. There was lots of bird activity around Shrock Lake and the nearby Thomas Trail, but most of it was temperate migrants, including lots of Gnatcatchers, kinglets, towhees, and sparrows (mostly Field, Song & White-throated). Best find was a male Orchard Oriole taking a bath in a trailside puddle. Warbler numbers were thin, but I did have singing Yellow-rumps, a Pine, and a Blackburnian in the forest.
