Very Windy at Blendon Woods but this didn't seem to hamper the birds. The most birds were located on the Thoreau Lake trail. Songbirds were especially numerous in the field to the right of the area where the path forks in two towards the lake bird blinds. We saw phoebes, towhees, bluebirds, flickers, pileated, and FISP all in this area around 9:30am. A scope was beneficial in viewing these birds. Temperatures 40-45 degrees.
