I visited my new favorite parks Sunday. As always, there's something interesting to see. I metctheir naturalist, Jeanine, and she said 4 river otters have taken up residence in Pond Brook. Just about all of our local woodpeckers and flickers can be seen, and I also heard a sapsucker calling. A red-tailed hawk was atcthe woodland edge calling to a mate. Song sparrow, tree sparrow, dark-eyed juncos and goldfinches were working the muddy paths.

At Liberty Park along the ledge trail I saw brown creepers, white-breasted nuthatch, chickadees a plenty, titmouseseses AND a brown creeper which thrilled me! Also along the path until an unleashed dog and its obnoxious owner came through, were 3 or 4 thrushes, hermits I believe. Being color blind, I don't know for sure until I enlarge my photos Wednesday. Still didn't see the bear though...
