On my last visit to the Station Road trailhead at Towpath Trail in Brecksville on June 4th, I saw 4 different red-headed woodpeckers. One was in the in the swamp area near the trailhead (where I've previously seen two, and there's a confirmed nest), one was on the tree adjacent to the bald eagle nest, and two were in the meadow as I was returning from viewing the bald eagle nest. It's certainly possible some of these were the same bird, but they were spread out over a distance of about 3/4 mile. http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist/S30072576 ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
