Well it took a lot of patience but the Western Meadowlark finally came out and perched on a utility pole long enough for some really good looks. This was at the previously posted location at the intersection of Moorefield Rd and Baldwin Ln near Springfield. While waiting for it to make an appearance we had: blue grosbeak indigo bunting Coopers hawk Bald eagle Field sparrow Grasshopper sparrow Savanna sparrow Brown thrasher Am Goldfinch N mockingbird Vesper sparrow (from 20 ft away) Needless to say it was a great morning/afternoon of birding. ~Scott ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
