This morning at the Deer Creek State Park Beach - *5 Am. Avocets, 13 Caspian Terns, 1 Forster's Tern, 1 Semipalmated Sandpiper, 1 Sanderling *along with Ring-billed Gulls, Turkey Vultures, Canada Geese, Killdeer, and Osprey flyover and a Double-crested Cormorant swimming offshore. At 10:45 am, I walked into the Middle Wetland of the Deer Creek Wildlife Area off Egypt Pike. In the north shallow pond were* two American White Pelicans, *which stayed while I scoped them and then took off, caught a thermal and soared away toward the reservoir. Lots of Wood Ducks, a few Mallards and Bank, Rough-winged and Cliff Swallows. Also Great Blue Heron, Green Heron, and a soaring Bald Eagle. On Dick Road at the north end of the wetland, there were *17 Great Egrets,* 14 Great Blue Herons, a Green Heron and soaring above were the *two American White Pelicans,* still around at 12:10 pm. Also lots of Wood Ducks. I counted 23.
