My biggest surprise last week was a singing Worm-eating Warbler down in Morgan Co. I too have been hearing Hooded Warblers. Most of the other warblers I've observed (mostly in Morgan Co.) haven't been singing. Lots of immature birds foraging out in the open. There are also two singing Acadian Flycatchers along that same route through the woods. Delightful! Particularly at this late date. Comparing notes with Jon Cefus in Carroll County, we also have a persistently singing white-eyed vireo near the house this year. And yellow-billed cuckoos apparently have had a banner year, likely owing to the Brood V cicadas earlier in the season.
