Seems the old "Myrtle" and "Audubon's" warblers may soon be restored as separate species...see https://www.allaboutbirds.org/goodbye-yellow-rump-will-we-see-a-return-to-myrtle-and-audubons-warblers/ . Right now, Ohioans are not too far from a bona fide Common Ringed Plover up in Toronto. This European version of our routine semipalmated plover, a big-time rarity, has been present recently: http://birding.aba.org/message.php?mesid=1163904&MLID=ON&MLNM=Ontario and remains twitchable. A good reason to adorn a North American list. In other listworthy news, 2016's AOU official list at http://listing.aba.org/aba-checklist/ is worth a look and shows a lot of changes, especially in the order of species. For one example, the warblers come just before the sparrows now. I spent some time revising the central Ohio list to conform to this one, and others will have to do something similar to keep up--not easy if they plan to publish...
