I went to Sims Park today in Euclid from 1pm to 1:55pm.  I walked out on the pier and saw a Merganser to the left of the pier.  There were several kids swimming in the same area and a Herring Gull pushing a large dead fish and then it decided to scoot quickly past the pier to the east of the pier and continued moving. I was taking pictures and then it went up on shore to clean its feathers.  I didn't realize til I got home and looked at the pictures it looks like a Common Merganser female.  I had thought it was a Red-breasted Merganser because I never really got a good look at it after it scooted from all the picture taking.  The pictures on shore were very blurry.
Also, there was an Olive-sided Flycatcher on the tall dead tree in the middle of the park on the south side of the main woods.  It kept returning to the dead tree and a nearby tree with dead branches.
