I birded Mosquito L. from 11:30 to 1:00 today.  I checked the Hoagland-Blackstub Rd. pulloff, the east end of Mahan-Denman Rd., and the State Park beach.  I didn't see the marbled godwit from last weekend.  There were plenty of other birds though: wood ducks, blue-winged teal, double-crested cormorants, 40 great blue herons, 18 great egrets, 4 bald eagles, red-tailed hawk, 2 black-bellied plovers, semipalmated plovers, stilt sandpiper, least sandpipers, pectoral sandpipers, semipalmated sandpipers, short-billed dowitcher, solitary sandpiper, lesser yellowlegs, ring-billed gulls, 2 Caspian terns, chimney swifts, warbling vireo, red-eyed vireo, and gray catbird.  Craig Holt, Lowellville
