The Sabine's Gull put on a nice show this morning. When I arrived around 8, it was flying a bit south of its previously reported spot. It flew a bit north to the area of the large cottonwood tree, but was obscured on the shore between those spots, so I walked about 50' out onto the shoreline to get a better scope angle. Soon after that, it flew closer to me and foraged like a shorebird a bit, then was flushed further north by an eagle. When I left, it was at the next bay north of the cottonwood feeding like a shorebird the entire time it was there. It was still there when I left. 2 Black-bellied Plovers dropped in for a few minutes as well. Great bird and Ohio life bird #310 for me. Thanks Dick Hoopes! Jon Cefus Carroll Co.
