Around 10:30 this morning at Great Egret Marsh in Ottawa County, what I initially thought was a cormorant flying strangely turned out to be a glossy or white-faced ibis. I did get a few great, albeit short, views of it through my spotting scope at ~100 yards away, while it was both standing and flying. I never got a photo of it, and it didn't stick around for long before flying to the southwest over west harbor. I left a couple minutes after it did. I'll stop by on my way home from work and again tomorrow morning to see if I can relocate it.
