This is not a posting about a lifer but a request for information about two bird records. There is a record of a purple gallinule at Cincinnati during June 1964. This record is supposed to be listed in Audubon Field Notes, volume 18, pages 454-456. If someone has a copy of this issue of Audubon Field Notes, I would like to know the date in June 1964 that this purple gallinule was found. The other item of interest is about a nesting record of golden-crowned kinglet in Ohio. Some where I read that the second Ohio nesting record was at Richland County. Information about this nesting is supposedly in The Ohio Cardinal, volume 14, pages 3-4. Unfortunately this issue has not been archived in The Ohio Cardinal website of archived issues. Information about these two records would be appreciated. Maybe when it decides to be winter in Ohio there will be something to post about from north-central Ohio. Thanks in advance.
