On my way home today I drove through the Cuyahoga County Airport in Richmond Hts for the second time around 2pm. I had not seen anything interesting earlier when I drove through. I decided to walk along the disk golf course path running north of Curtiss Wright Pkwy just east of Richmond Rd. I don't normally walk there as I never see anything unusual on that path other than hawks/juncos/goldfinch and Killdeer but today as I walked there was a nice group of Dark-eyed Juncos with a couple American Tree Sparrows near the large juniper bushes - I watched them fly forward to more bushes (as the entire walk is full of large overgrown juniper bushes) when I noticed one bird flying with them was much browner. It ended up being a Fox Sparrow. I hadn't really seen many this fall and it had been a long time since I had seen any Fox Sparrows along the disk golf course maybe cause I don't normally walk there. As I turned around and started to walk back a large Cooper's Hawk was watching the same birds I was.
