We took advantage of the break in the weather to escape outdoors after lunch. Wiese Road isn't what it was before the bike trail was put through it but it can still produce some decent birds. Of course my main objective is to monitor the Prothonotary Warblers at this stretch of my nest box trail. Today I located three singing males there. I expect to locate additional territories as the month goes on. Other species of note included 5 White-eyed Vireos, Red-eyed Vireo,  4 Warbling Vireos, Yellow Warblers galore, 2 Great-crested Flycatchers (FOY), Phoebe, Pewee, Baltimore Orioles, Black Vulture, Osprey and Broad-winged Hawk. Charlie BombaciHoover Nature Preserve
