I know a Dickcissel at Huffman Prairie isn't big news but while I see them reported there I have not seen them. Yesterday I had a nice look at a singing bird on top of wild parsnip(?). I only saw one but there seemed to be an echoing singer from farther back. Oddly I haven't seen many RTH around this area like years past. Walking back from by the circle in the road, just as you get to where the little stream comes out from under I heard something... not song bird like and ground low. Not a glaumping or anything but loud and slightly similar. I did see a Kingfisher not long after so I suppose that could have been it but I'm pretty familiar with the Kingfisher call so.....
