Vicci Weeks Notice of Availability of draft Environmental Assessment and Notice of Informational Open House Notice of Availability & Informational Open House The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), as lead Federal agency, with input from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) as cooperating Federal agencies, has prepared a draft Environmental Assessment (EA) to analyze and describe the potential environmental impacts associated with the proposed action of providing funding to: Lake Erie Energy Development Corporation (LEEDCo) - Cleveland, Ohio DOE is proposing to provide funding to LEEDCo to support the development of a wind demonstration project consisting of 6 turbines in Lake Erie approximately 8 miles off Cleveland, Ohio. USACE is reviewing permit applications for the proposed project. USCG is responsible for reviewing impacts related to navigation and the USCG mission. You are invited to submit written comments on the draft EA for Federal agency consideration. All comments received will be considered in preparation of the final EA.
