Blendon Woods is located in the northeast corner of Columbus off of I 270 and Rte 161. Take the Little Turtle Way exit. Below is a list of some of the Birds seen the last 4 days.(April 8-11) Lake Trail Woodpeckers Pileated Hairy N Flicker Yellow-bellied Sapsucker E Towhee Red-tailed Hawk E Phoebe Yellow-rumped Warbler Golden-crowned Kinglet Brown Creeper Hermit Thrush E Bluebird Carolina Wren Barred Owl Yellow-rumped Warbler Thoreau Lake Mallards-ducklings A Black Duck Wood Duck Redhead Ring-necked Duck Lesser Scaup Bufflehead Pied-billed Grebe Great Egret Great Blue Heron Killdeer Blue-winged Teal Fox Sparrow-East Blind E Phoebe N Rough-winged Swallow Barn Swallow Brookside Trail Golden-crowned Kinglet Winter Wren Sugarbush Trail Hermit Thrush Goldenrod Trail Sharpie Red-shouldered Hawk Nature Center Bird Viewing Area Fox Sparrow White-throated Sparrow Cooper's Hawk Hairy Woodpecker House Finch Carolina Wren E Bluebirds-pair-coming to suet feeder Pine Warbler Turkeys-everywhere especially at Nature Center, Ranger Station, and East Blind at Thoreau Lake. These areas have bird feeders. The males are displaying and are in Breeding plumage.
